Will you believe that a staunch Christian like Bishop David Oyedepo, will be the uncle of the radical NURTW topshop, Ganiu Amos Oyedepo aka Koko Zaria aka Otunba Zargarza? Koko Zaria’s father was the late retired Justice Oyedepo from Omu Aran, in Kwara state, who share the same parents with Bishop Oyedepo. 

He was a Christian and named Koko Zaria – Amos, while his mum who is a staunch muslim influenced him a lot and he was the only muslim amongst his siblings and he had even gone on the holy pilgrimage in Mecca.

Senator Stella Oduah, Loses 28 Year Old Son After Brief Illness In Abuja.

Senator Stella Oduah, representing the Anambra North Senatorial District, on Friday tragically lost her son after a brief illness in a private hospital in Abuja.

Unconfirmed claim that the deceased, whose name had yet to be known as of the time of this post, was 28 and that he died in the early hours of Friday.

Oduah, who was a Minister of Aviation in the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan, sounded distressed on the phone when Punch contacted her on Friday afternoon.

In a barely audible voice, she confirmed the report, saying her son died after a brief illness.

One of Oduah’s colleagues, Senator Uche Ekwunife, who represents Anambra Central in the Senate, also confirmed the incident to one of the publication’s correspondents, saying she had been with Oduah to console her just like few other senators who heard about the “unfortunate situation.”

Ekwunife said:

“It is very unfortunate. It has shown that death and life belong to God and it is only Him who controls our life. It is a trying moment for her and all of us. I know how it feels as a mother. It is only God who can console her.”

EFCC Arrests Top ‘Yahoo Boy’ Over $145,000 Love Scam

The EFCC, on Tuesday, August 23, 2016, arrested one Iwuchukwu Martin Uche for obtaining money under false pretence to the tune of USD145, 000.

Uche, who claimed to be a military officer working for the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, NATO in Kabul, Afghanistan allegedly, collected the money from his victim, H. Uyen, a Viatnamese woman, after promising to marry her.

The suspect, who also claimed to be a property agent operating in Nigeria and Ghana, allegedly told the victim that he needed the money to procure some documents for the planned wedding.

The money was allegedly wired to the suspect’s Diamond Bank account number: 0028998256.

A man who claims he is 145-years-old says he’s so old now he can’t stand living anymore. Mbah Gotho even bought his gravestone 20 years ago.

According to documents recognised by Indonesian officials, Mbah Gotho is 145 and was born on New Year’s Eve in 1870. He has surprisingly outlived all 10 of his siblings as well as his FOUR wives, the last of whom died in 1988.

All of his children have also died, and now he is survived by his grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

If the documents are true, that makes him significantly older than the verified oldest person in the world ever – a title that belongs to French woman Jeanne Calment who lived to be 122.

The super senior citizen from Sragen, Central Java, was recently interviewed by Liputan 6, and he said he has been through it all and would not mind passing on.

“What I want is to die. My grandchildren are all independent,” he told Liputan 6 on Tuesday.

Suryanto, Mbah Gotho’s grandson, said his grandfather has been preparing for his death ever since he was 122, but it never seemed to come.

He said:

“The gravestone there was made in 1992. That was 24 years ago.”

In addition, Suryanto said Mbah Gotho’s family has already prepared a grave site for him – near his children’s graves.

Staff at the Indonesian records office have confirmed Mbah Gotho’s birth date, which is specified on his Indonesian ID card as December 31, 1870.

Whether or not he will ever be listed as the world’s oldest man however is open to question, as the paperwork has so far not been independently verified.

If so he will join others without verifiable records who are believed to be older than Mbah Gotho – 171-year-old James Olofintuyi from Nigeria and 163-year-old Dhaqabo Ebba from Ethiopia.

These days, his grandchildren say Mbah Gotho mostly sits listening to the radio because his eyesight is too poor to watch TV.

For the past three months, he has had to be spoon-fed and bathed as he has become more frail. When asked what his secret to longevity is, Mbah Gotho replied: “The recipe is just patience.”
